Casting Director

Lillian began her film and television career in New York City as an Assistant Production Coordinator and Production Secretary on numerous television and feature film projects. There she worked with an impressive range of well-known directors; Gordon Parks (‘Solomon Northups Odyssey’), Francis Ford Coppola (‘The Cotton Club’/ ‘The Godfather’), Paul Mazursky (‘Tempest’), Michael Schultz (‘Krush Groove’) & Forest Whitaker (‘Waiting to Exhale’).

Learning the business from the ground up she became a Production Coordinator on many popular films, “Do The Right Thing’, w/ Spike Lee, and ‘New Jack City’, w/ Mario Van Peebles.

Her career led her into many directions from coordinating an AIDS Benefit for Harlem, New York City’s “Hale House’ to Supervising guest relations for Radio City Music Hall, and eventually becoming an account executive for Elizabeth Taylor for whom she handled publicity for the launch of Taylor’s Passion for Men Cologne.  Lillian also provided the research for Maurice Hines’ Broadway musical “Uptown It’s Hot’.

After spending 30 years in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California where she worked in the film & television industry.  Upon returning to Cleveland her film and television industry experience and knowledge made her one of the most familiar and respected names in the 'Cleveland' casting industry.

Lillian’s casting contributions to the film and television industry, have included shorts – independents – industrials – commercials and stage plays. Her Cleveland projects have included “Against the Ropes’ Director Charles Dutton, ‘Antwone Fisher’ Director Denzel Washington, ‘Spider Man III’, Director Sam Raimi, ‘The Soloist’, Director Joe Wright,  “Life’s Poison”, Director Malcolm Lee, ‘Take Shelter’ Director Jeff Nichols, ‘The Kings of Summer’, Director Jason Roberts, ‘The Bye Bye Man’ Director: Stacy Title, ‘The Land’ Director Steven Caple Jr. ‘The Charnel House’ Director Craig Moss, ‘Love Finds You’
(3-part series) Director Terry Cunningham, ‘With This Ring’ Director Nzingha Stewart, and numerous plays at Karamu House Theater.

Lillian was voted a member of CSA (Casting Society of America) the premier organization for casting directors in film, television, theatre and new media.  Casting Directors affiliated with the Casting Society of America are committed to maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and ethical responsibility to this industry.
